Emotional journey into the 50's and 60's
A tale of love composed of Polish hits from the 1950s and 1960s.
On a stage, we meet five women and five men and the accompanying musical band. Some are young, others are a bit elder, but they have one thing in common – a desire to rediscover a feeling, to experience this swing of emotions, elation. Together with them we will go on a journey in search of the nature of love, we will see what unites them and what distances them from each other. Why can’t they find their other half where the secret of happiness is hidden? Although people with a broken heart meet in the Lonely Hearts Club, they still have an unexpired appetite for feelings and for life. They relive their fascination over and over again, they have an ocean of energy that they express through dancing and singing. In the script of the show, 26 songs from the repertoire of many famous artists of those years were used. Surprising arrangements for 10 voices and a 4-person band will feature pieces from the repertoire of Ludmiła Jakubczak, Natasza Zylska, Marta Mirska, Ludmiła Warzecha, Mieczysław Fogg, Janusz Gniatkowski, Sława Przybylska, Bohdan Łazuka, Piotr Szczepanik, Wiesław Gołienik, Piotr Fronczewski, Zdzisław Maklakiewcz.
The performance is prepared by a team of artists specializing in musical theater productions. Together, they made such stage hits as “Berlin, four in the morning” and “Sofia de Magico” on the stage of the Roma Theater in Warsaw, “Night w Kosmos” at the Horzyca Theater in Toruń.
