Atlas of the Distant Islands

Judith Schalansky

Atlas of the Distant Islands

The first Polish mise en scène of the geographical atla. Inspired by Judith Schalansky’s book “Atlas of the Distant Islands”, a story about maps, a changing image of the world, great explorers and traveling. Why do we travel the world to reach the poles? Is the time of great discoveries over or is it just the beginning?

The performance is dedicated in a special way to young people, but every spectator who has dreams will find his way in it. A trip to the most remote corners of the map will also be a journey through the world of colorful culture, because there is room for music, a documentary and dance.
